Did you know that it is not necessary to have all food groups in the Filipino Food Pyramid in one meal?
• You can have fruits and dairy products during breakfast and vegetables and meat during lunch or dinner
• Choose foods that are low in animal fats, salt and sugar. Make you meals more appealing by using contrasting colors.
• Balance your meals with rich and light foods. For example, do not have all fried foods in one meal. If you have fried chicken, you may balance it with a fresh salad instead of having French fries.
